Analog Spaces
From Kindles, laptops, and iPhones it’s rare that we take the time to step away from our screens. In this series, I explore how people interact in public spaces when they step away from their devices. Analog reading is something that is becoming a rare occurrence in our digital world.
Here I explore various public spaces including parks, museums, and public transportation. One of my most surprising observations was witnessing the variety of people who read in public spaces. Reading in public spaces is something that transcends generations as illustrated in this series. Moreover, I was able to explore how how people interact with different types of analog material including paper maps, newspapers, and books.
My intention aims to remind us that it is important to take a step back, read a book, and reflect every now and then.
