Here I designed a mock-up microsite for the Cooper Hewitt Exhibition about an influential figure in the design field. My designer was April Greiman. The microsite was to be viewed on both desktop and mobile. I started by sketching wireframes for the mobile first and then moved onto desktop designs.
I was inspired by the New Wave design movement for this website. April Grieman was a pioneer in this moments and she wan't afraid of experimenting with both color and typography. The typeface I choose is a retro typeface that Greiman had used in some of her early experimental works. By researching Greiman's life and accomplishments, I was able to create a website that showcased her contributions to the digital revolution and highlight how she shaped the world of design.
